    Shirasato Beach

    Shirasato Beach
     Shirasato Beach faces the Pacific Ocean. Its coastline, which stretches for 3.2 km, is located at the center of Kujukuri Beach. Shirasato Beach is the nearest beach from Tokyo, and is conveniently accessible by motor vehicles. It is composed of three beaches: Chuou, Shitengi, and Minamishitengi.

     Many years ago, Shirasato Beach became a popular place for sardine fishing. Presently, it is a favorite spot for sea bathing. Annually, about 300,000 people visit there in the summer. In addition, people can experience “Zibikiami”. It is a yearly festival, which is celebrated by pulling in a huge fishing net from the sea.

     Shirasato Beach is also a famous area for viewing the first sunrise of the year. Many people come to see the spectacular sunrise over the Pacific Ocean.

    Konakaike Park

     The Konakaike Park is used for many people as a park which can commune with the nature. You can enjoy fully the nature of four seasons, for example cherry blossom, verdure and autumnal colors of the leaves.
     In the park, it is possible to do hiking and bird watching etc.
